Money and politics is as American as apple pie. But the thing is you know that your momma or grandmama made the pie when you go to a pot luck or church bake sale. Thats kind of similar to how I like money and politics to be. If you are running to be my governor or congressman I like to know who made you. I like to know that the people around me in my community are supporting you with their hard earned dollars. What I don’t like is when I don’t know who is baking that pie. Are the apples good or are they a little too soft on the inside?
The supreme court case of Citizens United allowed corporations to donate an unlimited amount of money to back a political candidate and has the ability to give a corporation more ability to elect a candidate than you for I have. This is great for when the candidate that I want to win is being back a cooperation that want s them to when but the issues comes the candidate I don’t agree with has that ability too.
The issue is they did not not count on the liberal elite and their wealthy corporate connection in silicon valley to use their resources to wage a corporate backed campaign against Trump. Some of these organization used dark money from a rather large communist nation overseas in an attempt to use our own system against us. In order to prevent liberals and other foreign entities from stealing the vote of hard working Americans we need to shut down the system that allows them to do this. We need to prevent silicon valley from trying to using Citizens United to stifle Trump.
